I am First - a Christ-Follower, Second - a Husband, Third - a children's Minister, Fourth - a student at Liberty University, and Fifth - a guy who mixes paint to support his wife. My passion for these kids is for them to grow to know and understand the fundamentals of Christ-Following. I was raised in church as a "Church Kid." I knew the Bible stories of Noah, David and Goliath, and Moses. However, when I came out of children's church I was nothing more than a kid who knew some cool stories. I want to begin shaping your kids into Christ-Followers now, before they start hitting bigger decisions than, "Do I want Lucky Charms or Pop Tarts for breakfast?"
One thing that I ask for you to keep in mind is that I am their teacher on Sunday mornings - you are their teacher through the rest of the week.
Grace and Peace,
Brantley
We love to have fun and be goofy! I cannot stand to be bored and I am sure your kids can't either. We want them to have a great time, but we also have to be able teach and be safe. With those things in mind:
1. Please make sure your child goes to the bathroom before you check them in to JumpStart.
2. Kids will not need any electronics once they have been checked in.
3. Kids will not need any toys, stuffed animals or anything else that could potentially be thrown through the air at another child.
4. Everyone respects everyone else. If someone else is talking, nobody should interupt him/her. This also means no kicking, hitting or name calling. This should be a safe place for your children in every way.
Final Note: We work on a 3 strike system. The first strike is a warning. The second strike, your child will be moved to the back. If the child gets to a third strike, he/she will be removed and will be sitting with the parent for two weeks. Generally, if the child makes it to the third strike, they have actually had about eight chances. We do not like removing kids from JumpStart.
